EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:  The Ishpeming City Council Regular Meetings will be broadcast LIVE every month on Charter Cable Channel 19 at 7:00 p.m.

SPECIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION –

Ishpeming RESIDENTS will have the opportunity to dispose of large, non-hazardous garbage items at the City’s recycling center.  Large garbage disposal bins will be available, along with help to load larger items.

This service will be available on the LAST Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Residents are REQUIRED to present identification AND their city utility bill.   Please review the list of PROHIBITED ITEMS.

Residential Customers are encouraged to participate in the Curbside Recycling Program.  Recyclable materials are to be placed at the curb on your regular trash day no later than 7:00 a.m.

• ~Recyclables must be clean and dry.

• ~Be sure that recyclables are visible.  Do not use colored bags for recycling–use clear bags.  Plastic totes also work well.

NOTICE:   On March 1, 2012, all unpaid 2011 Summer and Winter tax bills were delivered to the Marquette County Treasurer for collection; additional penalties will apply.
